What are the differences between the various Elica rangehood filters?

Elica are well regarded as the leaders of rangehood technology and air filtration systems. Below explains the difference between the various filter systems available for Elica's products.

Charcoal Filters

The carbon filter, a vital component when the hood is used in the recycling mode, was specifically developed by Elica for every cooker hood model in order to maximise the purification of foul air produced during cooking activities. The carbon filter must be replaced every 3-4 months.

Long Life Filter / Revolution Filters

With a special structure to guarantee high performance, the Long Life/Revolution filters last for 3 years and can be washed in the dishwasher. We recommend to wash the filter in the dishwasher at a temperature of 65 degrees and dry it in the oven at 100 degrees for  10 minutes.

  • Revolution Filtering Efficiency >82%
  • Long Life Filtering Efficiency 40-60%

Ceramic Filters

Designed for use with the NikolaTesla Recirculating (or Filtered) versions, these durable ceramic filters have an odour filtering efficiency of 80%. They can be regenerated within your oven at 200° for 45 min (every 2-3 months) up to a maximum 5 years.
